Superkids runs before and after school and holiday clubs within a school setting according to the needs of the school, its pupils and their parents. It also operates a Pre-school in a Wilmslow school and a Full Day Care Nursery in Macclesfield.

Superkids was set up by Terri Bourne, a qualified, experienced, practising teacher, when she identified the need for these clubs within the local area. With help from her husband Matthew Clark, also an experienced teacher, the first club opened in Sept 2001 in Wilmslow.

Due to the success of this club and the demand from parents for this kind of service the company Superkids Ltd was set up in Sept 2002, solely to cater for the provision of out of school clubs throughout the area.

To assist the expansion, other members of staff have been introduced, either qualified or under training. Superkids attach a lot of importance to training. Terri, herself having worked on her own NVQ level 3 in Playwork, has qualified as an NVQ assessor, to understand better the requirements of the courses and to further the progress of the Superkids staff and their training whilst obtaining qualification.

The expansion has continued into 0-5 provision, with the Pre-school and Nursery. Superkids now employs over 40 people in 12 settings throughout Cheshire and South Manchester. We have a very committed staff team who are key to the success of all our settings. All staff are police checked and are mostly selected for their experience and enthusiasm.

Our philosophy and reputation are built around providing children with a balance of structured, adult-led activities and opportunities for free play which helps the children to develop in many different ways.
