What do you want from a day nursery?
. A place where your child is happy and safe
. A place where learning through play helps your child develop
. A caring and friendly atmosphere
. A place where your child wants to be
Superkids Day Nursery aims to be all of these.

Bright, colourful and homely rooms make Superkids a fun and comfortable place to be.
Amongst our facilities are an Outdoor Play Space, Sensory Room, Garden, Baby Room and Pre-school Room.

Our varied package of sessions, including full day care, pre-school, lunchtime and afternoon sessions allow you to decide what is best for you and your child. We do not lock people in to a term long contract - one month's notice is all that is required.

As an Ofsted regisered provision we offer free sessions through the Nursery Education Grant for 3 and 4 year olds. We also accept childcare vouchers and can assist with claims through the Family Tax Credit scheme.

We're proud of our latest Ofsted report - take a look.

Babies (0-2 years)

We make the most of this exciting time, when new skills are being acquired at such a fast rate, by encouraging independent learning.

Each child has the chance to explore a great choice of activities in a bright and spacious area.

Our very experienced staff will talk to you about your child's routine. We do not dictate when your child feeds or sleeps: instead we let you and your child dictate it.

Our baby room offers:-

  1. Daily verbal feedback as well as home school diary for parent ansd staff to complete

  2. Bright displays add to a stimulating environment

  3. Lots of photos with evidence of children's activities and progress

  4. Exploratory and creative play to help make sense of the world both inside and out

  5. Plenty of chance for messy play

  6. All sit together for meals, independent feeding encouraged

  7. Seperate areas for mobile and non-mobile children

  8. Sleep area

  9. Small group with plenty of choice for 1-1 work, singing, 'rhyme time' and stories

  10. Trips to local library and parks

Toddlers (2-3 years)

This stage is when strong friendships are formed from time spent in the Baby Room and where we concentrate on developing new found confidence in speech and language. The move to a new room helps us build confidence as the children grow.

Our toddler room offers:-

  1. Toys and activities open and accessible to children to encourage independent learning

  2. Bright and interesting displays, strongly led by the children's interests and work

  3. Weekly speech and language sessions specially developed by Superkids alongside language specialist

  4. Access to computer for educational and fun activities

  5. Chance to join older children at meal times, forging more friendships and building confidence

  6. Learning opportunities taken into our lovely outside space such as gardening and looking closer at nature

Pre-school (3-5 years)

At this stage we encourage children to become confident, self-directed learners. This is when we can work to achieve our aim of seeing well-rounded children who are emotionally, socially and educationally ready for the next stage.

Our pre-school room offers:-

  1. Clearly labelled toys for increased choice of activity

  2. Large role play area to develop social skills and imagination

  3. Comfortable book area for relaxed reading

  4. Careful balance of adult and child led activities

  5. Wide range of equipment for creative play

  6. Displays with children's own work to encourage a sense of belonging and which reinforces learning

  7. Increased responsibility developed eg. setting table, clearing toys away
