Easter Holiday Club at Lady Barn House
Despite the pretty awful weather we suffered over Easter at Superkids Lady Barn House, we didn’t let that dampen our spirits. Between showers and downpours we took the chance to practice our football skills, did plenty of skipping and played some great team games to get our blood pumping.
Inside it was the usual hive of activity, with the children getting stuck into some lovely Easter craft activities. Not surprisingly the chocolate fridge cake proved popular. But it wasn’t all about the foodie treats. There were non edible crafts too, such as animal egg cosies, papier mâché Easter Eggs and balloon faces, amongst others.
Gloop featured heavily, with a lovely cornflour concoction being particularly messy and so much fun, including the making part!
We think we may have uncovered some budding spies too, with secret writing using wax resist techniques proving the catalyst for many secret messages…
The Air Hockey Challenge tournament was hotly contested, with some super skills on show. They get better every time.
And it’s not just us saying the children enjoyed it. This was brought into us by Jodie, who wrote about a ‘Day in the Life of Superkids’ at home. This is the best kind of feedback and the best kind of review. Thanks Jodie, glad you love coming to Superkids.
Keep your eye out for the packed programme for next Holiday Club, which is from May 23rd – 3rd June. We’ll see you there!
